"A Time 2 Remember" Celebrate the 2 Year Anniversary of Jackson Room

We are really grateful and honored for the great support we received from you and our other patrons at Jackson Room last year. It was a banner year and given your valuable support and well wishes our attendance for performances has been steadily growing. Many of our performances have been sold-out like our last performance with Brazilian jazz sensation Paula Maya.

It was an electrifying performance and the crowd was very receptive to the world class jazz as usual at Jackson Room. June is a good time to remember and reflect on the great shows hosted at Jackson Room, especially given the fact we are coming up on our “Two Year Anniversary.” We were favored with some incredible performances last year with the likes of George Cables, Tom Browne, Paula Maya, and the exceptional entertainment talents of the Ed Jackson Quartet.

If you truly appreciated our efforts to bring world class jazz back to our community why don’t you plan to come out and enjoy our Second Year Anniversary with us? You’ll truly be engaged and invigorated as we remember and play uplifting jazz music this Saturday night.

Our extraordinary line up of musicians for our 2nd year anniversary is:

Yours Truly Ed Jackson - Sax
Yayoi Ikawa - Piano
Marcus Mclaurine - Bass
George Schuller – Drums

This was an extraordinarily electrifying night of music. The Ed Jackson Quartet, played with powerful melodious intensity with Ed digging deep into his syncopated soul that Saturday evening. Jackson also really shined oh his solo improvisations.Brazilian jazz vocalist and pianist Paula Maya, was also mesmerizing musically and won over the audience with her brilliant entertaining style and savvy Bossa Nova jazz charisma. We'd love to see more of her in the future. The musical artists of the evening where...

The night was tapped off with a beautiful sinuous samba dance from Ed Jackson's wife Adriana Jackson, who hails from Brazil, as she demonstrated the dance to the packed house crowd in attendance. Ed even cut a samba step with his pretty and attractive wife.
