Tribute to John Coltrane

The Legendary John Coltrane
Ed Jackson Performing at Jackson Room

This month we are excited to focus on home grown greatness.  This is why we want to honor one of the giants of jazz who actually lived in our area: John Coltrane!

John Coltrane was born this month in September.  He was also a resident of St. Albans, New York, the home town of Jackson Room.

Coltrane or "Trane", as he is affectionately called, is known for his creative genius and extraordinary jazz talent. Therefore, it is certainly appropriate to perform a "Tribute to John Coltrane" in this "Month's End Jazz Motivations" the last Saturday of this month September 27th, 2014.

John Coltrane is a seminal figure in jazz.  He is one of the most respected figures in the music and we plan to show case his best compositions. Don't miss it!

So why don't you plan to come out and commemorate the creative genius of the legendary John Coltrane with us.  As usual we have assembled a world class ensemble of musicians for your entertainment pleasure.

Our artists for this promising and classic event are:

Carlton Holmes - Piano

Daryl Johns - Bass

Steve Johns - Drums

Yours Truly, Ed Jackson - Sax

Come on out and experience this elegant occasion.  Since this will be a popular performance please don't delay and make your Reservation now.
